VV- hy's WEG !!!

Wghen he first arrived in the country. we immediately baptised him as called him VV. So at least Vladimir Vermoezovic will have fond memories of how this country baptised him in a new name.As we say in Mzantsi hy's WEG( he's gone) . It was inevitable and I could smell it yesterday when when VV spoke to the media- and I said " where there's smoke, there's fire" . I am not sprised by the Chiefs Management decision to release him early. I want to commend Chiefs because here they even showed a…See More

Bafana Bafana: Where they got it wrong

COMMENTARY/ PERSONAL ANALYSIS:So, South Africa has become the first country hosting a World Cup and crash out in the first round. Not a pleasing statistic. For starters and looking at the positive: South Africa has finally broken the duck by beating France at the fourth attempt. South Africa finished third in its group with a record of: played 3,won 1, lost 1 and drawn 1. Five goals scored and 5 conceded. So where did it all go wrong? Carlos Alberto Parreira had prior to the start of the World…See More

Kalamazoo

Calvin..my brother there is a city here named Kalamazoo...I promise you that.. if then there is another Kalamazoo around the world then I am not sure... yesterday while drving from the World headquarters of AMWAY, on the highway there is a road sign turn off reading to KALAMAZOO.. The only man who is Kalamazoo in this world that I know is Mr Steve Mokone from South Africa.. another important observation is that the city where I am has a large concentration of Dutch immigrants, there is even a… Continue

Joseph Makhanya

Fellow South Africans, greetings from Grand Rapids, Michigan(USA).. So I read that Joseph Makhanya has renwed his contract at Pirates.. Personally-not a good decison.I see this as a decision of allegiance, loyalty and not one that was based on his football career. I bet my last cent- Joseph Makhanya will either be on the same salary or it has been reduced. Wrong move by DUKU-DUKU. By leaving Pirates, he would have increased his chances of playing.

However I see here that the boy… Continue

Steve " Kalamazoo" Mokone is big in Michigan(USA)

Fellow South Africans.. I am writing to you and thought I should share with you my experience and observation. I am currently here in the US and I am based in the state of Michigan in the city of Grand Rapids. I am here on a work visit. What I have observed is that one of our local legends from back home Mr Steve " Kalamazoo" Mokone is a hero here. There is city here not far from where I live, called Kalamazoo.

I am so ashamed when I learnt of this: that this man who is one of the… Continue

vODACOM CHALLENGE

I watched the opening game of the 10th edition of the Vodacom Challenge- where Pirates embarrased Manchester City.

Well and good, Pirates or shall I say, a second string Pirates won the game and the fans celebrated.

I am rather dissappointed than being happy with the win. I am left with some serious gripe about the future of this three- team tournament:

To invite Manchester City to come and play in the tournament, was not a good idea. Before the game against… Continue

I agree with your assement of Kaizer Chiefs after Muhsin. The team need to revamp the squad, keep some, sell some and give some game time to others
